KUBA-Mobile is an attractive data collection software, which allows on site collection of inspection data of road structures (bridges, galleries, support walls, etc.) and tunnels. It is companion application of bridge management system KUBA.
Mostly visual inspection findings related to deterioration processed e. g. cracks, bleaching, corrosion traces, etc. as well as other findings e. g. insufficient concrete cover can be recorded in a structured way by means of catalogs, texts, photos and sketches.
The automated synchronization process ensures a complete transfer of data with the main system KUBA.
Apart from findings, deterioration processes causing observed defects can be recorded. For these purpose damage zones (grouping of findings) are attributed to a deterioration process. The damage zone is recorded in terms of its severity and extent. The severity of damage (stage of the deterioration process) is expressed by a condition state, whose range is from 1 (best) to 5 (worst). For tracking purpose one can assign recorded findings and their photos to a damage zone. The damage zones can be drawn on georeferenced sketches and thus localized on the map.
The developer company of KUBA-Mobile and main system KUBA, Unit Solutions (http://unit.solutions) has numerous years of experience in development of innovative and user-friendly software solutions, as well as providing IT-services within the management of civil infrastructure. The technical concept and design of the main system KUBA and KUBA-Mobile is developed by Infrastructure Management Consulting (www.imc-ch.com).
